Caipirao recipe
3 oz Licor Beirão liqueur
1/2 sliced lime
Cut the lime and crush it in a old-fashioned glass. Fill the glass with crushed iced (ice cubes can also be used). Pour the Licor Beirao into the glass and stir well. Note that no sugar is added.

Liqueur Type: Almond Liqueur

Flavours: Pale yellow color. Intensely aromatic nose of spiced almonds, hints of citrus fruit. Rich syrup like full body, lacking in acidity which is why the Portuguese usually add a squeeze of lemon, dessert like sweetness with a slightly bitter finish.

Alcohol content: 20%

Hot tip:  This liqueur is typically served as a digestive or right before bed and it is known by the Portuguese to have some positive medicinal properties.

Great served with espresso, almond biscotti, fresh fruit or any number of imaginative ways in cocktails.

Simplest concoction would be to drink it ice cold with a few drops of lemon juice!
